Las Vegas, Nevada

Darren Birch, 55, of Henderson, NV passed away on February 29, 2024, in Las Vegas, NV.

Darren was born in Altadena, CA to Jack and Wanda Birch.

Darren grew up in Southern California and attended Grant High School in Los Angeles. He worked in air conditioning after graduation, until moving to Reno, NV. There he worked for Enterprise Rent a Car, which is where he met his wife, Marissa (Weed). Later, they moved to Henderson, NV where Taylor was born. Darren worked for Uber and Lyft in Henderson. He enjoyed hiking, biking, working with his dog Shasta, game nights with his family, vacations at Big Bear, and watching sports. He loved the Lakers, LA Rams, Dodgers, and Kings. He enjoyed trying new things and places. Darren was the type of person people remembered. He was thoughtful and caring, and always quick with a joke or humor and a smile. He took care of those he loved and was always willing to help someone else. Darren had a wonderful energy that carried over into everything he did and touched all who knew him.

Darren is preceded in death by his father Jack, his mother Wanda, and his sister Caryn.

Darren is survived by his wife Marissa, daughter Taylor, and sister and brother-in-law Lydia and Dan Wagner.

In lieu of a memorial service, the family will have a celebration of life in Reno, NV in June.

The family of Darren wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Nathan Adelson Hospice for their caring and kindness in his last days, and to the nurses at Henderson Hospital who worked so hard to help him through his treatment. Also to all those who have reached out and/or provided help as they grieve.
