On October 29th, 2015, beloved father, grandpa, uncle, and friend, Donald Alanson Walker, left this earth to be with his Heavenly Father. He was born on June 23rd, 1939 to Raymond and Dorothy Walker in Carbondale, PA. After growing up in Pennsylvania, New York State, and Iowa, he lived several places including Tacoma, WA and eventually settled in Las Vegas, NV where he lived for the last 41 years of his life. Don loved all four-legged friends, especially dogs and horses, and could gain their trust instantly. He enjoyed the outdoors whether beaches, mountains, or desert. As a talented musician, he mastered several band instruments and taught as well. He also had a green thumb and grew everything from squash to roses to cacti. Don will be dearly missed by his sisters: Marilyn Calhoun and Carol Jean Fairchild, his children: Jarrett Walker, Sheila DeMoss, Maya R. Jones-Springman, and Laura Marisol Bombara, his best friend: Maria Marinero, and by several grandchildren and all his family and friends.
Lasting Impression
A legacy enduring beyond life’s final breath. Impressed forever upon our hearts undisturbed by death. Unchanged at final passing. Fingerprints are left on our lives when the journey here is done. His touch will linger always etched in memories. The impression carried with us as we reach eternity.
