Donald Lewis Waters

Donald Lewis Waters, age 76 years old, passed away on Wednesday, October 27, 2021, at Henderson Hospital in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Donald, commonly referred to as Don, was born in Asheville North Caroline June 13, 1945, to his father the late William Waters and living mother, Ruth Davis. Donald was the only child born to William and Ruth. Donald grew up in Las Angels California, with his father William and his stepmother Alise W. Waters. The family joined Holman United Methodist Church in LA where they became well known life members for more than 50 years.

Donald graduated from Los Angeles High School 1964 and later join the Army where he spent several tours in Germany, a country he really enjoyed. After his military tenure he worked as a mortician, chauffeur and later became a bus driver for the LA Transit. Donald always kept in touch with family members and friends, while loving to surprise you with a visit or a unique gift. He loved dressing up in nice clothes, jewelry, cars (Mercedes Benz’s), visiting family and friends during the holidays, Doberman Pinschers, gambling and watching movies. Donald was also a gourmet cook.

After the passing of William and Alise, and his retirement from the LA Transit, he later moved to Las Vegas where he resided until his passing. He’s proceeded in death by his father and stepmother William and Alise Waters, aunt Eloise King, cousins Barbra Nell King McRae, Joyce Marie King, stepfather Rudolph Davis, niece Eurydice Davis and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.  He is survived by his mother Ruth Davis, brothers Rudy (sister-in-law Eraina Claire Davis) and Victor (sister-in-law Carlene Davis) along with many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, great nieces, great nephews, friends and his Holman United Methodist Church family.
