Erik Shannon Anderson was the beloved son of Beverly and Tom Anderson.

He was the awesome brother of Michelle Renee Anderson and the loving father of Linda Yvonne Beals and Joshua Tyler Anderson.

Erik was also a cherished grandfather to four grandchildren, all of whom loved him dearly. He was an awesome, playful grandpa who brought joy, laughter, and fun into their lives. His grandchildren will always treasure the special memories they shared with him.

Erik is now at peace with other family members and friends. He passed away on August 6, 2026, in Las Vegas, Nevada, where he had lived for several years.

Erik was born at Torrance Memorial Hospital on October 25, 1972. He lived in the family home in Downey, California, until he eventually moved to Nevada. He attended school in Downey, beginning at Downey United Methodist Church Nursery School, followed by Spencer V. Williams Elementary School, West middle school, and finally Warren High School, where he graduated in 1991.

Erik was gregarious and dramatic. He loved collecting swords and knives, and his favorite hobby was fishing. One of the more surprising things about Erik was his love of interior design. He had a natural eye for decorating and took pride in creating beautiful spaces.

Erik had a varied working career, with his final employment being at Bass Pro Shops in Las Vegas, where he worked in the Club section promoting credit cards-a job he truly loved.

We lost Erik far too early in his life. Though he faced many personal demons along the way, he is now at peace and in a much better place.

He will be dearly missed, lovingly remembered, and never forgotten.
