Hal Duane McKee

Hal Duane McKee, age 70, of Tridell, Utah, passed away in Las Vegas, Nevada, on March 23, 2025, of natural causes.

Hal was born on June 19, 1954, in Roosevelt, Utah, to Duane Leo and Vida Bowthorpe McKee. He grew up on the family farm in Tridell and graduated from Union High School in Roosevelt.

In 1981, Hal welcomed his daughter Mandy, who was a special part of his life. He spent most of his years in Tridell working the family farm while enjoying fishing, camping, gold mining, rock hunting, and spending time in the mountains. One of his greatest joys was being with his grandchildren, who brought so much happiness to his life.

Although Hal faced challenges with mental health, he was also intelligent, kind, and generous—qualities that shone through to those who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his father, Duane McKee; his mother, Vida McKee; and his sisters, LaRae McKee and Shirlie Lohof.

Hal is survived by his daughter, Mandy (Brad) Judd; his brother, Clark McKee; and his beloved grandchildren, Halli and Zoey.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on May 3, 2025, at the Tridell, Utah, cemetery.
