Harry King

Harry Charles King, DMV, Col USAFR

Harry was born in Hollywood, FL January 20, 1942, to Carl and Doris King and passed away on September 8, 2022. Harry grew up in Dania, FL, and was a football player at S. Broward High School. He attended the University of Florida and graduated from Auburn University School of Veterinary Medicine in 1967. Harry joined the Air Force after veterinary school and was stationed in RAF Lakenheath for four years. After his active-duty service, he moved to Las Vegas and started his veterinary practice in 1972 at St. Francis Animal Hospital. He loved Las Vegas and is the vet for so many loved pets. He retired from his practice at Legacy Animal Hospital in 2008 and he and his wife Ann continued to travel the world having visited more than 40 countries and going to over 100 Dodger games with his son. He is survived by his wife of 44 years Ann, his son Ryan King, daughters Elizabeth Matto and Sarah Thomas, four grandchildren, and his sister Deanna Thomas.
