Mr. John Daniel Jones (Danny) 72 of Simi Valley, California and long time resident of Ellisville, Mississippi & Las Vegas, Nevada passed from this earthly life to his eternal home in heaven on September 6th, 2026. He was born to Jannie Merle Welch Griffin and John Edward Jones on October 2nd, 1953 in Hattiesburg, Mississippi.

As a young man, he proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the time of the Vietnam War. He later spent most of his working life in the Construction Industry specializing in Carpentry and Painting.

Above all, he found his greatest joys in life being a father, having a good cup of coffee several times a day, playing his guitar, reading his Bible, and being in the quiet comfort of his home. Let it be known though, that when he was out and about, he never met a stranger. He would talk to anyone just to be able to crack and joke and to see them smile. He was a loving and humorous father and friend that will forever be missed.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jannie Merle Welch Griffin (mother), John Edward Jones (father), & Sylvia Johnson (sister).

He is survived by his children Emily Manssur Villacis (Francisco), Edward Jones (Holly) and stepson Joshua Sasser (Amy). He is also survived by his siblings Michael Welch, Deborah Aymon, Tommy Colomes and Kimberly Vance.
