John Gregory Stites

John Stites, 73, passed away in Las Vegas, Nevada on April 18, 2023. John was born in Guymon, Oklahoma to Marvin & June Stites on November 15, 1949. John attended and graduated from Villanova Preparatory School in Ojai, California and attended Ventura Community College. John proudly served four years in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. John worked as a biomedical engineer until retirement. He enjoyed playing softball, the L.A. Dodgers, and many years of competing in agility competitions with his beloved border collie, Disney.

John was preceded in death by his parents Marvin Stites and June (Dale) Stites. He is survived by his only child Jennifer (Jordan) Akin, his grandchildren Kiara Welch, Kaden Welch, and Isaac Akin, his siblings Kathy (John) Slavik, Dale (Barbara) Stites, Melissa (Brian) Chapman, Jacque (Howard) Smithson, and Danel Stites, and lots of nieces and nephews.
