John "Jack" Hibbs

John "Jack" Hibbs was born on November 27th, 1944 and passed away in Las Vegas, NV on December 21st, 2021 at the age of 79.

He is survived by his loving wife of 15 years Vatra Hibbs. His children Kevin (Sherry) Hibbs of Tuscan, AZ, and grandchildren Zach and Tanner.

He graduated valedictorian of his high school.

He graduated from The University of Arizona and was in the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity and awarded a full baseball scholarship.

He was a Grad Master Bridge Player and enjoyed playing in his bridge club. He was also a trombone player in the UNLV band and loved his dog Teddy.

Jack retired from the Air Force as a Lieutenant Colonel and served 2 tours in Vietnam. He was awarded the following service metals:

Defense Distinguished Service Metal, Distinguished Service Metal, Silver Star, Bronze Star, Bronze Star, Purple Heart, Air Force Overseas Ribbon Long Tour, Air Force Commendation Medal, Air Force Presidential Unit Citation, Air Force Outstanding unit award, National Defense Service Metal, Vietnam Service Metal, Small Arms Expert Marksmanship Metal, Republic of Vietnam Gallantry Cross Unit Citation, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Meta, Vietnam Service Ribbon, along with numerous other ribbons of service.
