Larry E. Wood II, 62, of Las Vegas Nevada, passed away on Monday December 22, 2025, at home.
Larry was born in Dallas, Texas to Larry and Jean Ann Wood on 09-09-1963.
At the age of two, Larry relocated with family from Texas to Greeley, Colorado until 1966, at which time the family settled in Boulder. Larry graduated from Fairview High School in 1983. After graduation, Larry attended Front Range Community College, Community College of Denver, Arapahoe Community College, and Ameritech to further his education in Management Information Systems and Marketing.
Larry worked as a product Installation Coordinator with Standard & Poors Compustat in Englewood, CO from 1987-1999 and as an IT Operator at Rush Creek Solutions in Littleton, CO from 1999-2002.
Larry was married to Dana Winn Bradshaw from 1987 to 1990.
As a teenager Larry loved all outdoor activities and sports. There were always snowy football games going on in the neighborhood front yards. Larry raced BMX for team Spoke, nicknamed “Lightening Larry.” As an adult, Larry traded in his bicycle for a motorcycle. He became an avid Harley Davidson rider. Constantly working on, upgrading, and accessorizing his bikes. For several years he rode to Sturgis, SD. He loved the vast variety of rides in Colorado. His favorite was the Million Dollar Highway with a stay over in Ouray, CO. He had acquired fond childhood memories from Ouray and enjoyed many of these rides with his sister Cindy. Larry was a die-hard fan of his football teams, CU Buffaloes and Denver Broncos and the Denver Avalanche Hockey Team. He also loved watching professional tennis.
Larry moved to Las Vegas, Nevada in 2003 until the time of his death. In Vegas, he worked as a well-known and well-loved bartender at Rebel Republic, Brooksy’s Bar & Grill, and Shuck’s Tavern.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents Larry E. Wood, Jean Ann Wood, and his sister Cynthia J. Cook.
Larry is survived by his siblings: Stephen C. Wood, Debra D. Hamblin (Robert), and William E. Wood (Alison). Two nephews, Zachary S. Wikler (Valerie) and Joseph L. Hamblin (Gissela) and three nieces, Sarah JA. Mellott (Patrick), Madison R. Hamblin, and Alexandria I. Wood. This small bunch also blessed him with eight great-nephews and nieces: Zayden, Nuelyn, Finnley, Elowyn, Avri, Angel, Annabelle, and Henrik.
At Larry’s request, there will not be any services. He liked to keep things simple. Larry loved his family, friends, and of course tasty food. To honor him, take time to gather with friends and family, go out for a nice meal, be present in the lives of those you love. Cherish your memories of him.
