Lawrence ‘Larry’ Raymond Kelly
June 21, 1943 – March 5, 2026
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Lawrence ‘Larry’ Raymond Kelly, who left us peacefully on March 5, 2026, in Las Vegas, NV. Born on June 21, 1943, in Baltimore, MD, to Edward Kelly Sr. and Jayne (Preskay) Kelly. Larry lived a full life marked by his dedication to family, his love of the outdoors, and his unwavering strength of character.
A graduate of Collingswood High School in 1961, Larry was a celebrated wrestler and cross-country runner, later inducted into the Collingswood Athletics Hall of Fame, a testament to his achievements both on and off the mat.
In his pursuit of higher education, Larry attended Rutgers University, where he was initiated into the Delta Epsilon Fraternity in 1962, and later the University of New Mexico, where he worked diligently to earn his Master of Science in Electrical Engineering in 1967. His academic achievements and commitment to learning reflected his passion for growth and innovation. He was further inspired to obtain his instructor credentials from the Board of Governors of the California Community Colleges, qualifying him to teach in the subject areas of engineering and mathematics.
Professionally, Larry had a distinguished career, working for Ford Aerospace and Lockheed Martin, where he contributed to cutting-edge projects in technology and aerospace. He later took the bold step of founding his own company, specializing in digital communications and technology solutions. Throughout his career, he was also awarded two United States patents for his innovative and practical inventions. His vision and entrepreneurial spirit left a lasting impact on the industry and the many clients he served.
Larry will be lovingly remembered by his fiancée, Jenny Lau, his brother, Wayne Kelly, as well as many nephews and other relatives. Larry was preceded in death by his brother, Edward M. Kelly, Jr.
Larry was a man of integrity and honesty, whose generosity of spirit touched all who knew him. Larry’s legacy is carried on by his family, who take comfort in the memories of his humor, wisdom and zest for life.
A dedicated member of his community, Larry was known for his hard work, strong principles, and devotion to those he loved. He found joy in the simple moments of life, whether it was spending time with loved ones or tending his garden.
An intimate celebration of Larry’s life will be held on April 4, 2026. The family extends their heartfelt thanks to all those who have shared in his life, and they ask that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the American Bird Conservancy, an organization that was dear to Larry’s heart.
He will be deeply missed, and forever remembered.
