Nicholas Alexander Owens

December 3, 1998 — January 30, 2026

Nicholas Alexander Owens, affectionately called Nicholas or Nick, passed away on January 30, 2026, at the age of 27.

A lifelong Las Vegas native, Nick grew up here and graduated from Sierra Vista High School in 2017. His classmates recognized his unique spark by voting him “Most Creative” among the senior superlatives. In high school, he was in the marching band, where he played the flute with precision and created memories with friends on the field and in the stands.

Nick had a sharp mind and loved intellectual challenges—he was a talented chess player who competed online often. He found joy in gaming on his PS5, losing himself in stories and strategies, and he was a huge Marvel Cinematic Universe fan, eagerly following every new release. Music was another constant in his life: Green Day and Linkin Park fueled his younger years, while Kendrick Lamar and Earl Sweatshirt soundtracked his later ones. In the kitchen, he took pride in cooking a great steak, always aiming for that perfect sear.

For the last two years, Nick lived with his aunt, Jeannie Kinney, who provided him a caring home. He was the son of Benjamin and Marie Owens, and the brother of Brandon and Samantha Owens. He never married and had no children.

Nick’s creativity, his thoughtful nature, and the quiet ways he engaged with the things he loved will be remembered fondly by his family and friends. His light, though brief, mattered deeply.
