Robert Michael Kennedy

March 21, 1950 — January 25, 2026

Las Vegas, NV

Robert Michael Kennedy, age 75, known to friends and family as "Bob," or "Bobby", was born on March 21, 1950, in North Kingstown, Rhode Island. He passed away peacefully at home in his sleep on January 25, 2026, in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Bob relocated several times during his childhood due to his father's career in the Navy. His family ultimately settled in Oxnard, California, where he attended Santa Clara High School and graduated in 1968. After graduation, his family moved to Camarillo, California, where he met his future wife, Julie, whom he married on February 26, 1972. They had been married almost 54 years at the time of his passing. Bob and Julie's songs were "My Girl" and "I Got You Babe".

Bob worked as a delivery driver for Dr. Pepper and later Pepsi Co. for over 40 years. He won several excellence awards, including being named the #1 driver in Southern California. During his employment, he and Julie relocated to Las Vegas, Nevada. He loved his job because it was outdoors, and he enjoyed the interaction with his customers and the public. He retired in 2016.

He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. Bob is survived by his loving wife, Julie; his daughter, Allison; her partner, Jeremy Putinta; and grandson, Jake Putinta; brothers, Chuck (Gloria), Frank, and Kevin (Pearl); sisters, Maryanne Fischer (Dennis), and Carol Moore (Frank); mother-in-law, Beverly deSynadinos; brother-in-law, Mark deSynadinos, and sister-in-law Jill Moland (John); in addition to numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy (nee Rodlund), and father, Charles Kennedy, Jr., and father-in-law, Alexander deSynadinos.

Bob loved sports (especially Notre Dame College football and the Los Angeles Angels baseball team), casino games, cruises, board games with family and friends, animals, and was an avid collector of anything about wolves.

Bob's kindness, generosity, and most of all, his sense of humor, touched everyone who knew him. His friends and family remember him as a man of great integrity and warmth. Anecdotes from loved ones capture his love of life and the positive impact he had on those around him. When Bob was present, everyone had a wonderful time because of his infectious personality.

At Bob's request, there will be no Memorial Service or Celebration of Life. He wanted everyone to remember him separately in their own way. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Heaven Can Wait Animal Society, Las Vegas, Nevada, in Bob's honor.
