Roger Louis Parker

Roger L. Parker, 71 of Las Vegas, passed away on September 24, 2023 in Sunrise Hospital, Rehabilitation Unit.
 
Roger was born in Conway, N.C. to Paul E. Parker and Helen Deloatch-Parker on November 3, 1952.
 
Roger received his formal education in the Northampton County North Carolina School System after which he moved to Schenectady, New York and met his wife, Ida-Rossi Parker. Roger was a hard, motivated worker and eventually he and Ida built a successful business called RCI (Roger, Christ & I), where they installed office equipment in the Schenectady and Albany, New York area.  Roger eventually married Hazel and they moved to Las Vegas.

Roger was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Helen Parker, Ida, Hazel and his only brother, Lewis Parker.  He is survived by four sisters, Kathlyne Jenkins and Emma Eaton of Chesapeake, Virginia, Helen Parker and Sarah Parker of Norfolk, Virginia; children, Geno, Andrew, and Steven Anthony Rossi of Schenectady, New York, Alex Williams of Las Vegas, Nevada; grandchildren in Florida & New York; two aunts, Rebecca Diggs of Abington, Maryland and Florine Deloatch of Woodland, North Carolina; his uncle, John Deloatch and his two sister in laws; Jerri Parker and Patricia Parker. Roger is survived by nieces and nephews whom he cared deeply for and we hope that his love for you all will sustain during this most difficult time.  Roger is also survived by so many cousins whom he loved dearly.

There will be a memorial/graveside service for Roger at a later date in North Carolina.
 
The family of Roger wishes to extend our sincere thanks to the nurses and Cardiac ICU team at Sunrise Hospital for their care and concern of Roger. Also, a special thanks to the Cardiology Physicians and Assistants for their care of Roger as well.  Thanks to the Rehab Unit at Sunrise for your care.
