Rose Marie Bankowski

Rose Marie (Ree) Bankowski, beloved mother of Laura Marie Hamm and Lisa Kimberly Bankowski, passed away on April 17, 2026 in her home in Las Vegas, Nevada, at the age of 79.

Born on December 5, 1946 in Cincinnati, Ohio, Ree was the fourth child and only daughter of Carl and Jeanette Leeds. She spent her life devoted to family and friends, touching the lives of many through her strength, humor and generosity.

She was a loving mother who welcomed everyone into her home, taught us independence, and made memories with every visit. To those who knew her, she will be remembered for her laugh, her honesty, and her strength.

Ree is survived by brothers Carl (wife, Gloria) and William (wife, Clara) Leeds, best friend Melodye Stok, sister in law Sharon Leeds, daughters Laurie Hamm (husband, Kelly) and Lisa Bankowski, grandchildren Austin Stanberry, Shaun Hamm, Brielle Hamm, Ciara Schwertman and Kaelyn Hamm, numerous nieces/nephews, and grandnieces/nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her parents Carl and Jeanette Leeds, her brothers Paul (wife, Madeline) and Robert Leeds, and her beloved husband, Robert Bankowski.

She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
