Sharlene Roxane Prince

January 14, 1968 -February 15, 2026

Sharlene Roxane Prince, of Brooklyn, New York, Orlando Florida and Las Vegas, Nevada, passed away on February 15,2026. She was born in Brooklyn on January 14, 1968, the six of seven children born to the late Charles and Marjorie Prince.

A woman of extraordinary spirit, Sharlene approached life with enthusiasm and a never- ending list of projects. She was an entertainer with wonderfully humorous nature, famous among family and friends for her ability to imitate others and sound just like them- a talent that could fill the room with laughter. Her brother Rawle remembers her as a terrific writer and great orator, a vocal presence who brought people together through her gift for organizing social gatherings.

Sharlene's voice was also raised in songs; she sang in the choir at her church in Rio Rancho and filled her home with music at all hours. She loved to cook, whether for small family dinners or large gatherings, creating warmth and connection through her food. In her final years, she found deep comfort in her faith, telling loved ones she had been born again. We take a solace knowing she's in heaven with a new body praising and worshipping Jesus.

Her dedication to learning and empowering others was profound. A proud graduate of Samuel J. Tilden High School (Class of 1983), she went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Columbia College (2003) and a Master of Science in Human Resource Development and Management from Barry University (2006). This passion led her to found and organization focused on empowering women and children affected by domestic violence to "Rise Above their Circumstances."

But above all, Sharlene was a devoted mother. To her children, she was "super mom," their best friend and their therapist. She adored her own father and thought he could do no wrong- a love she mirrored in the way she raised her own family.

Sharlene was preceded in death by her beloved son, Joseph, just 15 days before her own passing , her brother Terrance, and by her parents, Charles and Marjorie Prince.

She leaves behind her loving children, Josmyn and Josuan who will carry her light forward, and her siblings and a host of extended friends, who were blessed to know him

Rest in peace Sharlene. You are gone to soon will be missed by your friends and family. It's not good bye-It's see you later.
