Shayana Rose DeFranchessin

Shayana Rose Defranchessin passed away at the age of 30 in Las Vegas Nevada on June 8th 2022. Shayana was born in Reno Nevada on February 22, 1992 and lived most of her life in Reno and Sparks. She attended Reed High School in Sparks, NV where she had many friends and an active social life.

Shayana had a kindness in her soul and a gift for easy conversation and making people feel welcome. She would always have a moment to talk to those around her and was very genuine in her concern for others. She was a spiritual person who loved her friends, her family and had a soft spot in her heart for children, animals and people in need. Shayana loved spending time outdoors, she enjoyed nature hikes, swimming and reading a good book.

Shayana was pre-deceased by her grandfather, Lionel Alain de Franchessin of Bois-Colombes France and Reno NV. She is survived by her daughter Evangeline Marie Schupner of Reno NV, her mother, Genevieve Anne Defranchessin of Reno NV, her father Tyler Stewart of Sparks NV, her brother Keven Michael Donahue of Sparks NV, her grandmother Marielle Alice Theoret de Franchessin of Montreal Canada and Reno NV, her grandmother Sharon Stewart of Sparks NV along with countless extended family members, cousins, and friends from her youth.

We remember her carefree outgoing personality, the fact that she never seemed to match her socks, was constantly changing her hair color, adored fast food skinny French fries and how she would eat pizza every day of the week if it were possible.

It is a tragedy to lose someone at such a young age and we are forever saddened by her passing. Shayana will be with us always in our hearts and the stories we tell. We will remember Shayana for her gentle spirit and beautiful infectious smile.
