Sierra Louise Marie Riel
March 26, 1985 – October 8, 2026

Sierra Louise Marie Riel, lovingly known as "Sisi," passed away on October 8, 2026, at the age of 41.

Sierra was fiercely intelligent, unapologetically authentic, and deeply compassionate. Known for her signature black clothing, tattoos, sharp wit, and unforgettable sense of humor, she embraced life on her own terms. Beneath her bold exterior was a generous heart that never hesitated to help those in need. She believed in expressing gratitude often and lived by the words, "It is what it is, and it will be what it will be."

Despite significant challenges, Sierra's determination never wavered. Self-taught and endlessly curious, she proudly taught herself to read at age 15 using Angela's Ashes. She followed a Pagan spiritual path and found peace in nature, authenticity, and kindness.

Sierra was preceded in death by her father, Salomon Gonzalez Jr., and her beloved Nonna, Ellen Louise Riel, who was her greatest source of love and comfort.

She is survived by her mother, Katherine Riel; her grandaunts, Lorraine Skiff (Tom) and Kandi Deal-Davis; her loving wife, Tamara Broussard Riel; her cherished fur children, Pip, Dexter, Minou, and Daemon; along with many extended family members and dear friends.

Sierra will be remembered for her strength, compassion, brilliant mind, and unwavering individuality. Her memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
