Susan Marie Moore

Susan Marie Moore (Robertson), 77, of Las Vegas, passed away on November 13, 2023.

Susan was born, December 8, 1945 in Munising, MI and was adopted by Russell C. Robertson and Josephine J Polivka.

Susan attended St. John grammar school, was a parishioner of St. Louis the King Catholic Church, and graduated from Bishop Baraga High School (1963), She had polio as a young child, and overcame that. She attended college for two years, worked as a Social Worker, married Gary Moore June 1968, while living in Bay City Michigan and they moved to Las Vegas in 1976. They were divorced in 1992.

Susie worked as a dealer at Palace Station for 25+ years, and retired from there. She has been married to Fred Morell Jr. for 27 years. They met at Palace Station.

Susie is survived by her husband Fred Morell Jr.; her sister Naomi Deavers (Hansen); many cousins, nieces and nephews, LeAnn Graff, Julie (Scott) Kokoska, John (Kim) Deavers and Michelle Deavers; Maxine (her dog) and many many friends and co-workers. Susie was preceded in death by parents, Josephine "Polly" Robertson (Polivka), Russell C. Robertson; Dan Deavers (Naomi) and many aunts and uncles.

Susie loved life! She loved her "hunka hunka burning love", Fred. She loved her many dogs over the years- Pepper, Wilma, Max, Maxine. She loved to read, travel, swim and play bunko. After retirement, she joined a senior group and enjoyed lunches, tours, exercise classes and hiking. In her final year at Marvel Manor, she kept the staff on their toes, her health was up and down, but she was, as always, the life of the party. While there, she loved watching the Chicago shows and The Voice, reading books and the newspaper. But all she really wanted in her final days was to go home with Fred.

Please join us to pay tribute to Susie's life and share stories, reminisce about the good times with her and comfort each other on January 17th 2-5pm with a memorial and prayer service at 3:30pm to 4:15pm at Las Vegas Cremations on Charleston Blvd.
