Tammy Marie Walker

Tammy Marie Walker, 61, of Henderson, passed away on April 27th, 2025.

Tammy Marie Rowe was born in Long Branch, New Jersey, to Kathleen and Albert Rowe on May 27,1963

Tammy graduated from Red Bank Regional High School in Little Silver, New Jersey and became class of 1980 after graduating a year early. In 1993, she moved with her mother, two sons, her brother Donny, and her sister Boo to Las Vegas, before settling down in Henderson, NV. On January 7, 2007, she married the love of her life, Stanley Walker, and they lived a very loving, happy life together until her passing. Throughout Tammy’s life she had many occupations starting as a grocer at her local 7-11, to law enforcement for the New Jersey police department, and ending in the hospitality industry. She held positions at many Las Vegas Hotels such as the Hacienda,Tropicana, MGM Grand, the Flamingo, New York New York, Green Valley Ranch, the Red Rock Casino and Resort, the Bluegreen Resort, and Hampton Inn Tropicana. At each and every position Tammy worked, she was friendly and loving to all her peers, colleagues, and employees. She went out of her way to ensure that all her employees felt appreciated. Her kindness, humor, and warmth were unmatched by any that knew her and she would make you feel like family even if she only had met you 5 minutes ago. Tammy's hobbies included putting up holiday decorations on the interior and exterior of the house or at work that would often gain the admiration of her neighbors, coworkers, employees, friends and family. The holidays will not shine the same with her passing. She was an avid animal lover, loving her current fur babies Tabatha, Samantha, Toby, Dean, and grand fur baby Wyatt along with having other numerous pets throughout the years, some of which were abandoned or given away by their owners. Tammy was a devoted grandmother (Nana), mother and wife that provided as much as she was able to so that everyone around her felt the happiness that she carried in her heart. She ensured the family was brought together every Saturday for movies, games, and meals, a tradition she leaves behind and will be greatly missed for, but that her family is committed to continuing in her honor.

She was met in heaven by her mother, Kathleen Rowe; father, Albert Rowe; grandmother, Katherine Scollente; aunt, Elizabeth Lu Scollente (Aunt LuLu); and brother, Albert Rowe Jr.

She is survived by husband, Stanley Walker; son, Antonio George; son, Dominic George; daughter-in-law, Jacque George; granddaughter, Madyson George; sister, Kimberly Kearn; brother-in-law, Joseph Kearn; brother, Dominic Rowe; sister-in-law, Peggy Rowe; sister, Kathleen Stilo (Boo); nieces and spouses, Amanda and Robbie Ruffner & Desiree and Paul Board; great nieces Eliza Ruffner & Penny Board; great nephew, Judah Ruffner;

Tammy's Celebration of Life will be held at the Hampton Inn Tropicana in Las Vegas on June 14, 2025.
