JC, You were a dear friend and an inspiration to me and so many others. You saw potential in everyone around you and encouraged them to be greater than they thought they could be. You taught me how to recognize and embrace my weaknesses, as well as my strengths, to hone my musical and craft skills. There are so many of us here in Las Vegas that would be living a lesser life, had it not been for your inspiration. Now we must carry on without you, but we will never forget how you lifted us up. To JC's family; I share your grief. I am thankful to have had JC be a small, but meaningful part, of my life. I met JC in 1979 and began working with him at the Drum Shop in 1980. I ran sound for Roadhouse for some time and also did some shows previously that included Odin. When JC left the Drum Shop I took over his position as Guitar Repairman. Later, after his first marriage ended, I rented him a room at our house, until he got his affairs back in order, during which time, he never lost his sense of humor. He was honest, reliable, diligent and above all, inspirational. There are several signs he built for my current employer, over the last 15 years that are still in operation at our club. I will miss him.
